Mid-July Gratitude

There is something special about mid-July in Michigan. The days are warm, the evenings seem to last forever, and the pace of life slows just enough for us to catch our breath. It is the perfect time to pause, look around, and offer our gratitude to the Lord.

One of my favorite Gifts of the Holy Spirit is wonder and awe. Summer in Michigan gives us countless opportunities to experience both. Whether it’s a breathtaking sunset over the water, the sound of birds on an early morning walk, the laughter of family gathered around a campfire, or the simple beauty of a quiet evening in the backyard, God’s presence is all around us.

So, take some time to enjoy His creation…

Go for a walk…and thank the Lord.

Take a hike…and thank the Lord.

Spend some time kayaking…and thank the Lord.

Enjoy a boat ride…and thank the Lord.

Sit quietly in your backyard…and thank the Lord.

Wherever this summer finds you, don’t let these beautiful days pass by unnoticed. Slow down, be present, and let your heart be filled with gratitude. As we marvel at the beauty of creation, may it draw us closer to the One who created it all.
