Believe. Rejoice. Announce.
It has been said that we are Easter People. What does that mean to you? We are called to live as believers of the Resurrection and we are equally called to rejoice. The Archbishop of Detroit, Archbishop Allen Vigneron has shared his dream for the Archdiocese of Detroit and it is that we all become Joyful Missionary Disciples. As Joyful Missionary Disciples, we are called to live our lives proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ by both word and deed. By living as Joyful Missionary Disciples, we are in fact announcing the good news by our lives. Our Family of Parishes name is Disciples Unleashed. As Catholics at St. Francis – St. Maximillian Kolbe, St. Isidore and St. Therese of Lisieux, we not only have the ability to Believe, Rejoice and Announce, but we have the responsibility to do so. This is what our Archbishop wants from us, our priests want from us and ultimately what the Lord wants from us. Let us rejoice and be glad!
Take time during the Easter Season to reflect on what you recorded in your Lenten journal. See what and who you thought about during your Lenten journey. Try to figure out what God was telling you through your journey. Pray for ways you can grow in your faith and help those around you to do the same. Attending Mass each week is a great first step. A great second step is taking time to reflect on our Connecting Point and our Weekly Inspo, each designed to help everyone in our Disciples Unleashed community grow in faith. Se ha dicho que somos Gente de Pascua. ¿Qué significa eso para ti?Estamos llamados a vivir como creyentes de la Resurrección y estamos igualmente llamados a alegrarnos. El Arzobispo de Detroit, el Arzobispo Allen Vigneron ha compartido su sueño para la Arquidiócesis de Detroit y es que todos nos convirtamos en Discípulos Misioneros Alegres. Como discípulos misioneros gozosos, estamos llamados a vivir nuestras vidas proclamando las buenas nuevas de Jesucristo tanto con palabras como con hechos. Al vivir como Discípulos Misioneros Gozosos, de hecho estamos anunciando las buenas nuevas con nuestras vidas. El nombre de nuestra familia parroquial es Discípulos Desatados. Como católicos de San Francisco, San Maximiliano Kolbe, San Isidoro y Santa Teresita de Lisieux, no solo tenemos la capacidad de creer, regocijarnos y anunciar, sino que tenemos la responsabilidad de hacerlo. Esto es lo que nuestro arzobispo quiere de nosotros, nuestros sacerdotes quieren de nosotros y, en última instancia, lo que el Señor quiere de nosotros. ¡Regocijémonos y alegrémonos!
