Advent Conspiracy

This Advent, we invite you to join a movement—a movement to step back from the holiday rush and refocus on the true meaning of Christmas. Every year, the season brings parties, decorations, and a growing list of things to buy and do. The search for the ‘perfect gift’ often turns ‘Ho ho ho’ into ‘Go go go’ and ‘Spend, spend, spend.’  Is it worth it? Or, beneath all the noise, is there a way to find peace, joy, and purpose this season? We believe there is. Jesus came to bring us freedom—freedom to worship fully, to give joyfully, and to love without limits. This Advent, we’re inviting you to join us in an Advent Conspiracy… and rediscover what truly matters.

To help us live out these values, we’ve created the Advent Action Book. Each page was designed with simplicity in mind, making it easy to use and accessible for all ages. The actions in this book are small, meaningful steps—carefully chosen to be easily accomplished by individuals, couples, and families of all ages and situations. These are actions that make a difference, bringing light and love into the world. As you complete each action, we invite you to drop your coupons into the Advent Action Dropbox at church. From there, we’ll assemble a collection on our bulletin board, showing our progress and shared journey.

Each weekend in Advent, we’ll come together to watch a short video during Mass, inspiring us to deepen our journey. These videos remind us to worship fully, spend less, give more, and love all. This is the heart of Advent Conspiracy. Christmas isn’t about more presents; it’s about God’s presence. Jesus came to walk with us, grieve with us, and celebrate with us. Let’s spend less on what doesn’t last, give more of ourselves, and use what we save to love others —the hungry, the lonely, the hurting. This Advent, let’s live out our faith together.

Join us. Let’s make this season one of purpose, love, and true joy.

This first week of Advent invites us to reflect on what it means to “Spend Less.” In a world consumed by holiday shopping and endless to-do lists, this video challenges us to shift our focus from materialism to what truly matters—our relationship with God and others. Through scripture, reflection, and practical steps, discover how spending less can free us to grow in love, generosity, and faith this Advent season. Join us in rethinking Christmas and making room for Christ.
The second week of Advent invites us to “Give More” by embracing sacrificial generosity, creativity, and commitment. Discover how prayer, time, talents, and financial giving can promote the Gospel and make a lasting impact on others. Through small, intentional steps, we can share Christ’s love and become vessels of transformation in our world. Join us in reflecting on how to give more of ourselves this Advent season.
The third week of Advent challenges us to “Love All” more joyfully, even amidst the busyness of the season. Through a heartfelt personal story, we’re reminded that presence often matters more than perfection. Small, intentional acts of love—showing up, listening, and prioritizing relationships—can bring joy to others and deepen our own experience of Christ’s love. Reflect on how choosing love, one step at a time, can transform this Advent season.

In this final week of Advent, we reflect on what it means to “Worship Fully.” Worship doesn’t end when we leave Mass—it continues in how we live, love, and serve in the world. Through mindfulness, gratitude, and small acts of kindness, we can glorify God in the everyday moments of our lives. Inspired by Mary’s example of carrying Christ to others, this video invites us to bring God’s presence into the world with urgency and joy.
